River Condition Assessments

The key to the success of a project is monitoring the final outcome. If habitats are left to their own devises, then biodiversity can very quickly decrease due to a number of reason like invasive species, human disturbance etc. Our experienced and fully qualified staff can undertake condition assessments, species surveys and even habitat survey over the future years to observe the level of biodiversity.

If the monitoring flags up any issues, we will liaise with you, the trusted client, to ensure we can enhance the site for biodiversity.

The Environment Act 2021 requires all newly created habitats as part of a Biodiversity Net Gain scheme are to be secured for at least 30 years post-construction. Wallace Darwin offers regular visits to sites to ensure that these new habitats meet the target conditions set out in the Net Gain scheme and offer further advice if these targets are not on track.
